We're building AlertCore, a unified platform for retail security, mobile patrol operations, home protection, and intelligence sharing. AlertCore.io is the home for the suite. ShopAssist is one of the first products we've shipped: a mobile app that lets retail staff trigger an emergency panic alert with their GPS location. When someone presses the button, admins receive an instant push notification with who, where, and when, getting the alert to the right person in under a second.
Where ShopAssist Fits
AlertCore spans several products: ShopAssist (retail alerting), MobilePatrol (security officer operations), Control (unified control room dashboard), Shifts (rota and volunteer management), HomeAssist (connected burglar alarms), and Intel (intelligence sharing). ShopAssist sits at the frontline for retail, a simple panic button that staff can use when they feel threatened. It's designed to work alongside the rest of the platform, with a shared approach to auth, notifications, and incident tracking.
What We Built
ShopAssist is a React Native (Expo) app for iOS and Android. Staff log in, see a large emergency button,, and when needed, tap it. The app captures their GPS location, looks up their assigned shop for context, and sends the alert. Admins get a push notification immediately, whether they're in the app or not. We use Firebase for auth, data storage, and push notifications, with a Cloud Function to fan out alerts to all admin devices. Role-based access keeps it simple: users trigger alarms; admins manage users, shops, and receive alerts.
Part of the AlertCore Suite
ShopAssist is live and in use. As we roll out more AlertCore products, MobilePatrol, Control, Shifts, HomeAssist, Intel, the same platform principles apply: real-time notifications, role-based access, and a focus on getting the right information to the right person, fast. AlertCore.io has the full picture of what's coming.
